Four companies participated in the pre-bid meeting for the solid waste management plant at Bainguinim. A senior official said that bidders appreciated the tender document and sought relaxation in criteria for the bidding process and company turnover, reports The Times of India.
Companies that attended the meeting include Organic Recycling System, Hindustan Waste Treatment, 3R Management and Landsky Engineers.
Last month, Goa Waste Management Corporation (GWMC) had invited bids for setting up the long-pending Bainguinim garbage treatment plant with a processing capacity of 250 tonnes per day.
The plant, estimated to cost Rs 200 crore, is expected to cater to the entire Tiswadi taluka. The corporation had invited a request for qualification (RFQ) for the proposed plant.
