Acquisition of land for Galand WtE plant completed

As reported by The Hindustan Times, the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) has paid INR 16.5 crores to the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation for the purchase of land for the construction of the Galand WtE plant. The fund will be used to purchase the remaining 17 acres of the 35 acres needed for establishing the plant. Also, the amount covers stamp duty on the registration of land in favour of the corporation. All formalities are expected to be completed within one week, after which Netherlands-based company, GC International, is expected to commence plant construction.
