Ariyalur cement kiln plans to incinerate RDF only

The Dalmia Cement company in Ariyalur, Tamil Nadu, plans to switch completely to the incineration of refuse-derived fuel by 2040. According to global cement, the abandonment of the incineration of fossil fuels is part of an strategy to lower the CO2 emissions below 0.5 Mtpy. The needed refurbishment of the plant should be undertaken by Carbon Clean Solutions, a UK-based technology provider. This includes a carbon capture device and a storage facility.
