BBMP asked to outline plans for C&D waste disposal

The Karnataka High Court has directed the State government and Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) to come out with a road map for scientific disposal of construction and demolition waste as the 2016 Solid Waste Management Rules.

Livelaw.in reports that the authorities have been told to consider the increase in waste that is going to be generated in Bengaluru due to a large number of residential projects that have been approved by the BBMP in the last year, over a thousand approximately. The bench has given them three weeks to file an affidavit, outlining a road map for solid waste disposal.
