BBMP to set up 2 large AD plants in Bangalore

Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has announced plans to set up two large-scale biogas plants running on municipal organic waste. The 500 tpd BioCNG facilities are planned at the Chikkanagamangala and Karnataka Compost Development Corporation premises in Bommanahalli, a locality in Bangalore, Karnataka.

The projects are being developed in collaboration with EverEnviro Resource Management Private Ltd., using a bio-methanation model. Operations are scheduled to commence within 18 months.

As further reported, a corresponding MoU is due to be signed soon with an unknown Indore, Madhya Pradesh-based company.
