Bengaluru has a new WtE plant

Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa has laid the foundation stone for a 11.5 MW waste to energy project in Bidadi.

With a capital investment of Rs 260 crore, the plant will consume 600 tonnes of segregated solid waste daily. The project has been awarded to M/s ISGEC Heavy Engineering Ltd, Noida, reports UNI.

The project is jointly financed by the BBMP and KPCL, with equal capital contribution. The project is expected to be completed by 2022 end.
