Bio-CNG plant to be set up in Bhilwara

A new Bio-CNG plant is to be developed by the Bhilwara District Milk Producers Cooperative Union Ltd. in the city of Bhilwara, Rajasthan State, as reported by Patrika.

The investment is supposed to be INR 80 million (EUR 921,000). The plant will be located on Mandal Road. As the source indicates, this facility will be the first Bio-CNG plant of its kind in Rajasthan. As the land has already been allotted, building works can start. 2,000 m³ of raw biogas are to be produced per day, generating 800 to 900 m³ of pure biogas per day.

Cattle farmers will be paid 0.75 INR to 1 INR (EUR 0.0086 to 0.012 EUR) per kg of cow dung, according to the report.
