A biogas and composting plant is planned to be built on a 1-acre site in Mohishgote, near New Town, Kolkata. As was reported by The Telegraph, the plant will process vegetable and fruit waste collected from the city in order to reduce landfilling. However, the source does not provide technical details of the project, but it appears to be rather small-scale.
