The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is planning a WtE plant in Deonar, a suburb of Mumbai, as Mid Day reported. BMC is likely to shut down its Mulund dumping ground in July this year and two other ones in Deonar and Kanjurmarg are at tipping point. The construction of the facility was originally scheduled for 2017. Now, the BMC has announced to start calling for tenders soon.
