C&D recycling plant gets go-ahead in Coimbatore

The Coimbatore Corporation has received the permission of the State Government of Tamil Nadu for establishing a recycling plant to recycle C&D waste at a cost of EUR 157,094 through a PPP project. The plant is wanted to handle about 100 tpd of debris waste. The corporation should be responsible for processing and disposing of the waste. The proposal was already sent to State Government in 2012/13. The corporation plans to set up 5 C&D collection centres. This was reported by The Hindu.
