Tiruchirappalli City Municipal Corporation plans to set up a 50 tpd C&D waste recycling plant at the landfill in Ariyamangalam in Tiruchirappalli (also called Tiruchi or Trichy), Tamil Nadu.
The project has been under consideration since 2023 and is currently in the stage of preliminary works. The INR 60 million (EUR 662,200) project should be finalised by June and then be carried out under a DBFOT (design, build, finance, operate and transfer) model through a PPP.
