Chandigarh approaches SCPB for help managing COVID waste, if necessary

The Haryana State Pollution Control Board has said it will help Chandigarh dispose of excess COVID-19 waste biomedical waste (BMW), if the need arises. For instance, in the case of breakdown of the city’s lone Biomedical Waste Treatment and Disposal Facility (BWTF).

The CPCC had reportedly written a letter to the Haryana authorities seeking their help in case any problems occur during BMW management, The Times of India reports.
