CII’s Waste to Worth Conference and Exhibition: Here’s the High Profile Speaker Line-Up

The CII’s annual Waste to Worth Conference on November 16 and 17 will see industry experts debate and discuss important issues facing the waste sector. This year, the conference will focus on the theme ‘Moving Towards a Circular Economy Through Innovative 3R Approaches’. 

Several panel discussions on pertinent issues are lined up during the two-day virtual conference, which will be followed by a 20-day virtual exhibition. SolidWasteIndia shared the agenda for panel discussion on November 16. Check it out here.

Ms Ms Bineesha P, Member- ECC, The Office of the PSA, GoI and Executive Director, IIWM, will moderate a session on innovative solutions by start-ups on Nov 17 at 11.30am

On November 17, three panel discussions are scheduled. At 11.30 am, there is a session on ‘Innovative solutions by Start-ups for Sustainable Waste Management.’ Founders of various start-ups will share their innovative solutions or technologies for sustainable waste management and way forward to develop the ecosystem for start-ups in the waste management sector in India & abroad. Moderated by Ms Bineesha P, Member- ECC, The Office of the PSA, GoI and Executive Director, IIWM, this panel will include Mr Rashid K – Co-Founder & Director, Genrobotic Innovations, Mr Jitesh Dadlani – Founder & CTO, Ishitva Robotic Systems Pvt Ltd, Oliver Borek – Chief Commercial Officer, Mura Technology, Prof Srikanth Mutnuri – Founder, BacTreat Environmental Solutions, D C Sekhar – Founder Director, AlphaMERS Ltd and Ashok Poddar, Founder – Ganesh Engineering.

At 1 pm, the session on ‘Sustainable Management of SCF/ RDF from MSW in Cement Kilns and WtE Plants’will be moderated Mr Ulhas Parlikar – Global Consultant – Waste Management, Circular Economy, Policy Advocacy, AFR & Co-processing. Panelists include Mr Masood Mallick – Jt MD, Ramky Enviro Engineers Ltd, Mr Saurabh Palansia – Executive Director, Dalmia Cement, Raju Goel – CTO, Ultratech, Mr Anirudh Dhani – Unit Head, J.K Cement and Mr Bashir Shirazi – COO, EverEnviro Resource Management Pvt. Ltd.

Dr Shalija Gupta – Sr Advisor, Office of PSA, Government of India will make a special address on ‘Untapped Potential – Challenges and Opportunities in Integrated/ Decentralized Waste Management in India at 2.30pm on Nov 17

The last session titled ‘Untapped Potential – Challenges and Opportunities in Integrated/ Decentralized Waste Management in India’ begins at 2.30. It focusses on WtE, decentralized biogas, bio-CNG, and RDF and compost Plants. Dr Shalija Gupta – Sr Advisor, Office of PSA, Government of India will make a special address followed by a discussion moderated by Ms Wilma Rodrigues of Saahas Zero Waste. Panelists include Col Suresh Reg – Executive Director, Mailhem Ikos, Vinay Maheshwari – President- Corporate Projects & Environment Management, JBM Group, Arjuna Reddy – Ecogreen Energy, Mr Pankaj Tanwar – VP-Technical, Organic Recycling, Varun Dilip Boralkar, Head-Commercial, Geocycle India and Sanjay Jalali – Group EVP & Operations Head, Blue Planet Environment Solutions.

The International Conference on Waste to Worth is being organized in association with the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser, GoI and supported by the Ministry of Urban Development and Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, GoI. Poland is a guest country this year. Through this annual event, the CII aims at bringing together policymakers, practitioners, technology providers, investors, and domestic and international waste management companies on a single platform to deliberate on innovative technological solutions towards keeping India clean in a sustainable manner and encourage the adoption of 3R practices.
