The Tamil Nadu authorities plan to spend more on solid waste management, as The Times of India indicates. The Vellalore landfill will profit from several investments to acquire modern technology such as unmanned vehicles to conducts surveys and studies of the landfill, a drone and a crawler-type bulldozer. About EUR 1.6 million are planned to be invested to construct a RDF plant.
