Almost 8 years after the Shishambara solid waste recycling plant was first proposed, the project might finally be realised. Reason for the delay was a petition by an individual that had stopped implementation of the facility but was recently dismissed by the Supreme Court. With this, the INR 240 million facility with a daily capacity of 350 metric tons of waste has taken one of the last barriers before construction can start. This was reported by the Times of India.
