The establishment of a WtE plant in Deonar, Mumbai, has already faced several serious challenges, as ecoprog reported earlier. Due to the failure of stopping the tender, Bombay High Court had extended the permission to dump solid waste at the Deonar Landfill until 31 December 2019. Now the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has decided to divert the waste to the bioreactor plant in Kanjurmag, as reported by The Mid-Day
