Deonar WtE project now scheduled for 2026

According to a new report, 10% of the Deonar WtE project that is currently under development in Mumbai, Maharashtra, have been completed, and a deadline for making the plant operational is targeted for 2026.

This is contrary to a source from early February 2024, according to which the plant should be commissioned by October 2025. Once operational, the plant is to process 600 tpd of waste from the Deonar landfill. Construction costs are estimated to amount to around INR 5.04 billion (EUR 46.06 million).
