Editor India’s Department of Technology and Science (DST) is going to establish a new, separate section to assess WtE technology. This was requested by the Ministry of Environment, which stated to receive many requests from the municipal level on assessing WtE proposals while not having the necessary technological knowledge. The new section will provide advice to the respective municipalities in selecting suitable contractors for their WtE projects. This was reported by the Times of India.
