Four biogas plants commissioned in Mira-Bhayandar

The Mira-Bhayandar Municipal Corporation (MBMC) has commissioned four out of seven biogas plants and now applied to the Maharashtra Electricity Commission for a tariff on the electricity generated.

These plants, located in different parts of Mira-Bhayandar, Maharashtra, aim to collectively recycle 50 tpd of wet waste, generating 275 kWel.

While the total capacity of all seven plants is expected to reach 100 tpd, producing 575 kWel, information on the operational status of the remaining three plants is not provided in the source.
