According to the source, The Deccan Herald, an unnamed French company shall be operating the two planned 1,000 tpd WtE plants in Chikkanagamangala and Doddabidarakallu, in Bangalore. The French company shall convert mechanically segregated waste into energy, which would then be sold to the Karnataka Power Corporation Limited (KPCL) at a cost of INR 7.08 per unit.
