GAIL to build new AD plant at Sarai village landfill

Gas company GAIL India Limited and the Municipality of Haridwar, Uttarakhand, have plans to develop an AD plant at the site of a landfill in Sarai village.

Plans for the plant provide to treat 120 tpd of organic wet waste, which should be transformed into biomethane to supply CNG and LPG stations. The plant should be able to produce 6 metric tons of gas each day, as further reported.
