Gail to set up 3 AD plants in Chhattisgarh

The Bathinda Municipal Corporation is planning to construct a biogas plant in Bathinda, Punjab, under the SATAT programme (Sustainable Alternative Towards Affordable Transportation).

The project should be executed as a public-private partnership (PPP). The plant should treat 50 tpd of biowaste to generate 50 tpd of biogas and is scheduled to be completed in approximately 1 year.

Engineering consultancy and technology licensing company Engineers India Limited should provide technical support for the project and entrepreneurs should have the option to establish bottling plants or sell the end product to oil companies.
