German Waste-to-Energy company Intec Micro Powder AG is currently planning a WtE plant in the district of Howrah, West Bengal. The district, which produces 500 tons of waste per day, will provide the land for the project and the state government will provide 10 % of the projected INR 25 billion investment cost. The rest would be borne by Intec. Current plans provide for a 2 MW plant. This was reported by The Times of India.
