Government plans new AD plant near Dhapa

The Urban Development and Municipal Affairs Department of West Bengal projects a new facility near Dhapa to convert food waste and upgrade the produced biogas to BioCNG and Bio Carbon Dioxide. The project should also include facilities to process wastewater using algae, which should afterwards be processed in an AD plant. According to millenniumpost, construction will be carried out by the Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) with an investment sum of INR 40,000,000 (EUR 533,508). The project should start by processing 5 tpd of organic waste and later be expanded to 25 tpy.
