Guntur’s new WtE plant inaugurated

Andra Pradesh Chief Minister Mr YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, has inaugurated the long-delayed Waste to Energy project in Guntur. The plant operated by Jindal Group was built at a cost of Rs 345 crore and generates 15 MW of power per hour. It has the capacity to process 1,600 tpd of waste.

Waste collected from nine cities will be processed here. A trial run at the plant is already underway. The factory is currently receiving 1,200 tonnes of waste every day, reports Hans India.
