The Indian state of Haryana has revealed its goal to achieve 150 MW of biomass-based energy by 2022, as stated in the Haryana Bioenergy Policy 2018. The local government wants to support the production of electricity, biogas and biofuels by facilitating the lease of lands and the treatment as “must run”-plants for eligible projects of up to 10 MW, which is a unlimited feed-in priority. As mentioned in the source, Haryana has a surplus of 8,416 kilotons of crops residues available, as reported by the Daily Pioneer.
