Hyderabad WtE projects stalled

The WtE project in Hyderabad, Telangana, has still not received any governmental support, The New Indian Express reports. The proposed plant would process 2,000 tons of garbage daily in order to reach a capacity of 100 MW. In April 2016, the Union Ministry of the Environment published the new Solid Waste Management Rules (SWM 2016), which stress the support of WtE projects in form of subsidies and incentives. However, no means of support have been provided for the Hyderabad project.
