Indorama to set up PET resin plant in Nagpur

Bangkok, Thailand-based chemicals company Indorama Ventures (IVL) has announced to expand its PET manufacturing site in Nagpur, Maharashtra, reports Recycling Today.

As further announced by IVL, the expansion is worth USD 82 million and will include a 700 tonnes per day (tpd) PET resin manufacturing plant, according to the report. Moreover, further plans provide for, amongst others, equipment upgrades.

The new facility is due to start operations by Q2/2022. As further stated in the source, IVL is in charge of the Nagpur manufacturing plant since 2019. Additional manufacturing plants are operational in Haldia, West Bengal and Karnal, Haryana.
