Information on planned WtE plant in Dehradun

According to sources from the Municipal Corporation of Dehradun (MCD), a WtE plant is currently being planned for the municipality, with the required paperwork being processed. This was reported by The Pioneer. The project is estimated to cost INR 122 crores (USD 17.14 million, EUR 15 million). Companies have submitted proposals, with approval pending from the state government. Currently, the city produces only 250 to 300 tons of waste, while 500 tons are required for the operation of the plant. It is further stated that there is maybe a need to collect garbage from other areas.
