ITC will soon recycle more plastic than it generates

ITC has announced that it is ready to move beyond plastic waste neutrality next fiscal. That is, the company will replace and recycle more plastic than it will use through its operations this year. ITC has been solid waste recycling positive for the last 13 years and this comes as a major boost in the company’s sustainability efforts.

The company is planning to collect over 30,000 tonnes of plastic waste this fiscal from 24 states. This is double the number of last year’s collections and ITC will exceed 100% of plastic packaging introduced in the market, reports The Times of India.
