Jawaharnagar WtE plant to be operational within a few months

In March 2018, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has begun to cap the landfill in Jawaharnagar, which stores 14 million tons of garbage, as reported by Telangana Today. At the site, around 2,000 tpd of RDF are generated as well as 350 tpd of compost from MSW. The RDF should be incinerated at the 19.8 MWel WtE plant at the site, which will start operations in a few months.
