Kapuluppada Waste to Energy plant to be inaugurated in October

The mayor of the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) has announced details on a current WtE project in Kapuluppada, Andhra Pradesh, reports The Hindu.

The plant been set up over a 17-acre site and would be inaugurated on 10 October 2021. Originally expected to be operational by March 2021, delays were caused in construction work due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 15 MW facility is worth INR 3.2 billion (EUR 36.09 million) and will process 900 to 1,000 tpd of MSW.
