Kasba Bawda WtE plant yet to become operational

A preliminary contract termination notice has been planned to be issued to Kolhapur Green Energy Private Limited, which is constructing the Kasba Bawda Wte plant, due to delay in plant commissioning. The project, which is being executed on a build-operate-transfer basis was initially scheduled to become operational by 15 May 2018, according to The Times of India. A final ultimatum will be given to the constructing company on 20 November 2018. The failure to deliver the plant before the deadline could lead to Kolhapur Municipal Corporation taking over of the plant. Kolhapur Green Energy Private Limited has now promised to deliver the plant by 1 January 2019.
