Kochi Council approves Brahmapuram WtE project

According to The New Indian Express, the Brahmapuram WtE project has now also been approved by the Kochi Municipal Corporation. Furthermore, public sector undertaking KITCO was said to conduct an additional feasibility study. In December 2015, the project DBFOT (design, build, finance, operate and transfer) was awarded to company GJ Nature Care Consortium. The facility is estimated to cost around INR 2.95 billion (USD 44.5 million). Waste will be delivered by the city of Kochi and neighbouring municipalities.
