Kochi WtE project faces another delay

A few months after the announcement that construction was to begin by May 2017, construction works on the Kochi WtE project still do not seem to be underway. The companies that are set to carry out the project, the Kochi Corporation and GJ Eco Power Pvt. Ltd., have still not been granted the necessary Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). Furthermore, there is still an ongoing debate between the heads of the project and the Kerala State Electricity Regulatory Commission over the energy tariffs for the future WtE plant. According to The Times of India, construction works will most likely begin over the course of the next 3 months.
