Land acquisition completed for Galand WtE plant

According to The Times of India, the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) have now been able to secure 14 acres of land needed for the planned Galand WtE project. The plant is planned to be constructed on 35 acres of land with 18 acres already secured by the GDA. The final 3 acres shall be made available to the authority by builders from integrated township. After registration of 35 acres of land needed for the plant establishment, the WtE plant construction is expected to start. Netherlands-based company, GC International, has already been selected for the development of the plant. The City of Ghaziabad generates around 1000 tonnes of waste daily.
