Land reclamation for Pune WtE project

In a bid to cater for its 800 tpd of generated waste, the Pune Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (PMRDA) has announced plans to dump its garbage at the Phursungi, Pune, garbage depot. As reported by the Hindustan Times, the regional development authority has commenced reclamation of land, which will be used for the Waste-to-Energy project. The plant is planned to convert 2,000 tons of waste into energy. Further information on the technology to be installed in the Waste-to-Energy project is yet to be released.
