A 600 tpd biogas plant will be established in the Barsana town of Mathura district, Uttar Pradesh. Adani Total Gas has entered into a public welfare partnership with Shri Mataji Gaushala, a cow shelter in Barsana.

As the source indicates, this project is considered the largest biogas plant in Uttar Pradesh. The state reportedly ranks fourth in India in terms of the number of biogas facilities. Nearly ten percent of the income will be received by the cow shelter.

The plant will be developed in three stages. For each phase, a specific target for feedstock and production has been set. The source does not provide the expected date of commissioning.
