MahaGenco has issued an expression of interest to procure the biobriquettes, which should have a maximum moisture content of 9% and a calorific value of 3,500 kcal (non-torrefied) or 4,500 kcal (torrefied). At full capacity, the three units are currently fuelled with a total of up to 12,000 tpd of coal.
