MBT implementation proposed for Bengaluru industrial park

The Electronics City Industrial Township Authority (Elcita) is planning to set up a 50 tpd MBT facility in Electronics City, an industrial hub near Bengaluru. According to the Economic Times, the project costs are estimated to amount to INR 400 million (USD 6 million). As said, Elcita is planning to use German technology to produce RDF for cement plants, recyclables and compost. However, the state government of Karnatake has yet to provide Elcita with a building ground. The project was said to be supported by the Leibniz University of Hannover, Germany, which apparently assisted on the plant’s engineering design and on conducting a waste characterisation study.
