The Indian Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has published a strategic plan including the construction of 15,205 small-scale biogas plants.
This target is defined within phase II of the National Bioenergy Program. The projects for the construction of the plants, which are intended to provide thermal energy for cooking and electric energy for local consumption, should be realised in FY 2023/2024, as further reported.
