According to the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), its proposed Moshi WtE plant will have a generation capacity of 11 MW and is to entail costs of around INR 2 billion (USD 29.5 million). Moreover, as was reported by The Times of India, the facility will only treat inorganic waste and should be implemented under a 25-year public-private partnership (PPP) scheme. As stated by PCMC, 6 bidders qualified for the tender process, which is reportedly scheduled to be completed within the next 2 months. During the past 15 years, PCMC already made 2 unsuccessful attempts to set up a WtE plant.
