More WtE capacities for the State of Gujarat

The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) in Ahmedabad plans to upgrade its WtE facilities to generate 45 MW of power from 3,000 daily tons of garbage. According to the AMC, the civic body of Ahmedabad has signed two memorandums of understanding to convert 2,000 tons of waste into energy. The generated power will be purchased for around INR 7 per unit and the central government will subsidise the purchase. According to the source, the Times of India, other cities in the State of Gujarat also consider WtE technology solutions.
