MoU signed for biogas plants in Chhattisgarh

Oil and gas company Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), the Municipal Corporations of Raipur and Bhilai, and Chhattisgarh Biofuel Development Authority (CBDA) have signed a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish compressed biogas (CBG) plants in the cities of Raipur and Bhilai, Chhattisgarh.

The plants should each process of 100 to 150 tpd of municipal solid waste. BPCL is investing around RS 100 million (EUR 1.1 million) for the construction of these two plants.
