Mumbai has a new MRF, courtesy UNDP and HUL

The Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) has inaugurated its fourth Swachhta Kendra, or Material Recovery Facilities, in Worli (G-South ward) in partnership with United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL).

The MRF aims to manage waste from 100,000 households and recover 8,000 MT of plastic waste over four years.

Three similar facilites are already operational in three wards of Mumbai – K-East (Andheri East), H-West (Bandra West), and R-North (Dahisar), reports IndiaEducationDiary.com.
