Nagpur: Waste management companies have paid Rs 1.42 cr in fines since 2019

As per information from the Nagpur Municipal Corporation’s solid waste management (SWM) department, BVG India and AG Enviro Infra, the two companies responsible for door-to-door waste collection in the city, have been fined 19 times by Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) for low collection coverage, irregular collection services, malpractices and staff strike.

The two companies started work in the city 19 months and have paid a cumulative fine of Rs 1.42 crore ever since, reports The Times of India.
