NEEPCO proposes WtE plant for Guwahati

The North Eastern Electric Power Corporation (NEEPCO) has proposed to set up a WtE facility in Guwahati, Assam. As said, the firm has already submitted a pre-feasibility report to the Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) and requested the authority to supply a construction ground for the project. However, no information on technology is available. Additionally, companies Oil India Ltd (OIL) and Numaligarh Refinery Ltd (NRL) have recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with GMC on developing a plastic waste-to-fuel plant in the city, according to Assam Tribune.
