New bids invited at WtE project in Moshi

The Municipal Corporation at Pimpri Chinchwad in the State of Maharashtra has failed to initiate the WtE project at the Moshi garbage depot even one-and-a-half years after it was proposed. Over the past 15 years, the civic body had been planning two WtE projects, according to The Times of India. Now, the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation is seeking for new bidders for a period of 20 years on a design, finance, build, operate and transfer basis. The plant would generate 11 MW of power. At the moment, 800 tonnes of garbage are dumped every day at the Moshi waste depot. 600 tpd should be incinerated at the facility.
