Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) Limited is partnering with Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD on a compressed biogas (CBG) plant in Tirumala, Andhra Pradesh. The plant should be running on biodegradable solid (wet) waste.

An MoU is to be signed between the two partners. As part of Swachh Tirumala, a municipal wet waste treatment plant is already operational at the site since May 2017. This plant however does not include AD.

Both IOC and TTD are planning to cover the costs mutually. Reportedly, 35 to 40 tpd of organic waste will be delivered to the plant and converted into 1.75 to 2 tpd of biogas, once operational.
