New Galand WtE project to start in 2022

Building works on the WtE project in Galand village in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, are expected to start in 2022, reports Hindustan Times.

On 24 November, according to another report, a newly built boundary wall at the site was demolished by hundreds of people opposing the facility.

In early November, further details on the project were published. For instance, the plant’s final capacity should be 2,500 tpd of MSW. The facility is to be developed by Netherlands-based GC International. Originally, construction was scheduled to begin in 2020.
